Mwaneli Investments Limited is a registered and privately owned construction and development consultancy company. We are seeking to employ a suitably qualified, highly motivated and goal-oriented professional to fill the position of a Civil Engineer x 1.
Job Purpose
The incumbent will be expected to oversee the successful implementation of projects related to construction and roadworks in various districts in Zambia.
Job Accountabilities
Ensure that BOQ and other specifications are developed and adhered to
Track project activities and matching resources for successful implementation
Monitor field work to ensure any corrective measures are put in place if required
Carry out site inspections and supervision of projects being executed by on-site workers
Prepare bidding documents in consultation with the Director
Participate in meetings ensuring all logistics and procurement are done correctly and on time
Liaise with relevant government institutions at certain stages of project implementation
Demonstrate competency in roadworks and construction of culverts
Qualifications and Experience
Full Grade 12 Certificate with at least five (05) credits including Mathematics and English
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering
At least three (05) years’ relevant work experience in construction, roadworks and project management
Must be a paid-up member of the Engineering Institute of Zambia (EIZ)
Additional competencies
Ability to supervise and manage a team
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Must be innovative and creative
Able to work with minimum supervision
Conversant with the MS Office Suite
