The LICENSING OFFICER will be reporting to the Licensing Manager, and will be responsible for undertaking the licensing of enterprises in order to ensure compliance to statutory requirements and enhance competitiveness in the industry.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Undertakes regularly the conduct of research on regional tourism and related matters in order to facilitate decision making
- Undertakes effectively the licensing of tourism enterprises in the region in order to ensure compliance to statutory requirements
- Undertakes regularly the conduct of inspections of tourism enterprises in the region in order to ensure compliance to standards and requirements
- Undertakes regularly the conduct of inspections of tourism enterprises in the region in order to ensure compliance to standards and requirements
- Undertakes periodically the maintenance of the licensing database in order to facilitate efficient storage and retrieval of information for decision making
- Undertakes regularly the conduct of tourism licensing and standards capacity building programmes to tourism enterprises in the region in order to ensure adherence to standards.
Education & Experience
- Full Grade 12 School Certificate
- BA Degree or equivalent
- Able to write technical and analytical report
- Able to communicate effectively in English
- Computer literate
- Interpersonal skills
- Research skills
