RFP- REHABILITATION OF WATER RETICULATION SYSTEM.
Terms of reference to conduct the rehabilitation works on a water reticulation system in Kazungula District of southern province.
Background.
Undikumbukire Project Zambia (UP Zambia) is a human rights organisation that supports juveniles in conflict with the law through legal representation and social support and advocacy for a restorative juvenile justice system in Zambia. It is non-governmental, non-political, non-denominational, and non-racial civil society organization. We currently operate in Two (2) provinces, i.e. Lusaka and Southern Provinces and plan to expand to copper belt province in the near future. We are implementing the PLEED project in Lusaka and the EU funded Rise Again project in Lusaka and Kazungula district of southern province.
In Kazungula District we work at a facility that has had serious challenges with water as their system is old and dilapidated hence in need of extensive repairing and upgrades in a few areas
Objective
We seek an experienced contractor to carry out rehabilitation works on a water reticulation system for a grant that our organisation is currently working on. The water system supplies water to a total population of over 1300 people.
Preliminary assessments have identified the following Items as being in need of replacing and repairing:

However, contractors are welcome to do the site visit and conduct their own assessments at their own cost if they feel the above information is not enough for them to do quotations.
N.B INSTALLATION WILL BE DONE BY THE SUPPLIER/CONTRACTOR OF THE PUMP AND LABOUR COSTS INCLUDED FOR THE MAIN LINE AND SUB MAIN LINE FROM ZAMBEZI RIVER TO THE TREATMENT PLANT, THE REFORMATORY SCHOOL, STAFF COMPOUND AND THE CLINIC.
