About Lusaka Integrated Solid Waste Management Company

Lusaka Integrated Solid Waste Management Company (LISWMC) is an autonomous Solid Waste Management Utility Company which was established through the provisions of the of the Solid Waste Regulation and Management Act No. 20 of 2018, with the vision of providing effective solid waste management services in the City of Lusaka in order to ensure a clean, safe and healthy environment.
LISWMC is responsible for management of solid waste in the city of Lusaka and maintains the only designated solid waste disposal site in Lusaka – the Chunga Landfill.
