Finance and Administration Manager
KSM MANAMENT CONSULTANT, the largest HR firm in Zambia recently acquired GOZAMBIAJOBS.CO.ZM becoming the largest recruitment platform in the country and is now actively looking to recruit an experienced. Finance and Administration Manager, for a client in the Medical Insurance Industry.
Purpose of the Job
Overall control and responsibility for all financial aspects of the Company strategy and to provide financial advice and support to the Board and management team.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Development, updating and implementation of financial and accounting policies, strategies, procedures and systems to optimize performance, minimize risk and ensure that all of the company’s financial practices are in line with statutory requirements and best industrial practices
- Analysing the financial climate and market trends to fully contribute to developing business strategies in all areas of the Company, interpreting financial information and seeking out methods and practices to facilitate plans, targets and business drivers
- Overseeing company-wide budgetary planning and ensuring adherence to the budgets for each department by monitoring cash flow, accounts, and other financial transactions
- Maintenance of comprehensive financial and accounting records including; preparation of financial statements (monthly, quarterly, annually) and facilitating external audit, preparation and administration of the payroll, contracts administration, invoicing, debt management, medical claims payments & reporting etc
- Ensuring compliance of the Company to all statutory requirements including preparation and submission of all returns under the Companies Act, ZRA, NAPSA, Workman’s Compensation, Municipality/city Council etc
- Development and implementation of a) Company administrative systems b) human resources management systems and procedures and c) procurement, logistics, travel and transport systems
- Establish a high level of credibility and manage strong working relationships with external parties including clients, service providers, partners and advisors and preparing and submitting information requirements including financial performance and other reports
- Development and training of subordinate employees and providing other financial support activities as may be assigned by the supervisor
Professional Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Business Administration
- Degree in Accountancy or professional qualifications such as ACCA or CIMA
- Full Member of ZICA
- Minimum of 5 years relevant working experience
- Valid Driving Licence
- Excellent knowledge of Company finance and international reporting requirements
- Computer literate with working knowledge of relevant accounting packages
- Knowledge of the Companies Act and relevant administrative procedures
- Excellent knowledge of relevant statutory requirements such as ZRA Tax regulations, NAPSA, Workman’s Compensation etc
- Self management and motivation with excellent planning, organising and problem solving skills
- Enterprising, creative, Initiative and ability to work with minimum supervision
- Team player with excellent interpersonal skills
- Effective leadership and excellent communication skills
- Flexible with ability and willingness to learn and operate in a new environment
- Strong IT skills
- Loyalty, commitment, honest and integrity

- Positive self-esteem and confidence
