KSM MANAGEMENT CONSULTANT, the largest HR firm in Zambia recently acquired GOZAMBIAJOBS.CO.ZM, becoming the largest recruitment platform in the country is now actively looking to recruit for multiple positions on behalf of our client in the construction industry.

1. RELOCATION ASSISTANT

Role Description

The Relocation Assistant supports relocation and resettlement activities by coordinating communication with local authorities, community leaders, and affected households. The role assists with surveys, asset registration, documentation, and tracking compensation payments while ensuring proper record keeping and compliance. The position also supports site coordination and performs other administrative and operational tasks as assigned by management.

Duties and Responsibilities: –

• Assist in communication with local government authorities, community leaders, traditional chiefs, and stakeholders.
• Participate in household surveys, asset inventory, and measurement registration.
• Organize and file demolition documents, compensation agreements, and related records.
• Complete other comprehensive tasks assigned by management
• Assist in maintaining site order and coordinating communication between contractors and affected households.
• Track compensation payment progress to ensure compliance and proper documentation.
• Complete other tasks assigned by supervisors.

Requirement and Education: –

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Law, Public Administration, Social Sciences, or Business Administration.
• At least 2 – 3 years’ experience in administration, legal support, community liaison, or project coordination.
• Experience in construction, infrastructure, or land-related projects will be an added advantage.

2. SITE ENGINEER ROADS – LUSAKA

Role Description
The Site Engineer will be responsible for supervising and coordinating road construction activities on site to ensure that projects are completed safely, on time, and in accordance with engineering designs, specifications, and quality standards. He/She will be involved managing daily site operations, monitoring construction progress, coordinating with contractors and technical teams, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory.

Duties and Responsibilities: –

• Supervise daily road construction activities including earthworks, grading, drainage, and pavement works.
• Ensure construction work is carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and project plans.
• Coordinate site activities with contractors, subcontractors, and construction teams.
• Assist in planning and scheduling construction activities to meet project timelines.
• Monitor project progress and ensure work is completed within scope, budget, and deadlines.
• Resolve technical issues that arise during construction.
• Inspect construction works to ensure compliance with engineering standards and specifications.
• Conduct site measurements and verify quantities of work completed.
• Ensure proper materials are used in accordance with project requirements.
• Ensure all construction activities follow health and safety regulations.
• Promote safe work practices on site and ensure workers use proper protective equipment.
• Ensure compliance with environmental and construction regulations.
• Prepare site reports, progress updates, and technical documentation.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and site activities.
• Support project engineers and management with technical information and updates.
• Liaise with project managers, surveyors, contractors, and other stakeholders.
• Assist in site meetings and provide updates on construction progress.

Requirements and Education: –

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Engineering.
• Minimum 3 – 5 years’ experience in road construction or infrastructure projects.
• Experience in supervising road construction works is an added advantage.
