Job Overview
Accountant
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare company accounts and financial statements in line with International Financial Reporting Standards
- Prepare tax payments in compliance with tax regulations
- Report and analyse all problems experienced with the Company accounts so that remedial action can be promptly taken
- Adequately facilitate all audits and other financial reviews as required from time to time
- Prepare & submit information timely as required by the Regulator
- Ensure that any outstanding imprest is fully retired
- Provide assistance in the preparation of the company budget
- Maintain an asset register for the company
- Preparation of variance analysis on a monthly basis
- Provide input into reports prepared by other stakeholders as needed
Qualifications and Skills
- Fully qualified with CA Zambia or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years experience in an Accountancy related role
- Ability to produce accurate financial reports
- Must be a member of ZICA
- Must be accurate and pay excellent attention to detail
