DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES?
The ACCOUNTANT will be responsible for assisting in making financial decisions by collecting, tracking, correcting, and communicating the company’s financial position. The Accountant will keep track of transactions, compile and analyze data, conduct audits, assist with budgeting and financial forecasting, compute taxes, and report their findings to management.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist the business make critical financial decisions by collecting, tracking, and correcting the company’s finances.
- To be responsible for financial audits, reconciling bank statements, and ensuring financial records are accurate throughout the year.
- Payroll preparation and processing
- Preparation of Management Reports necessary for decision making
- Ensure preparation of the returns, submission and payment of statutory obligations, such as Napsa, Workers Compensation, PAYE, VAT, Income Tax, WHT, NHIMA.
- Must be a member of ZICA
Education & Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Accounts field
- Minimum Diploma in Accounts
- Ability to analyze and interpret financial data
- Proficient with numbers and excel
- Accuracy and detail oriented
- Technical Training qualifications required: Knowledge of Ms Office package
- Knowledge of Computerized Accounting Systems preferably an added advantage
- Can work under pressure
