The FINANCE MANAGER will be responsible for distributing financial resources, planning the budget and assisting the executive management team by providing financial insights and guidance so they may make the best decisions for the organization.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Financial Planning and Analysis
- Budgeting: Developing and managing budgets for various operational aspects like fuel costs, vehicle maintenance, infrastructure, etc.
- Financial Forecasting: Predicting financial trends, preparing financial projections, and assessing potential risks or opportunities.
Cost Management and Control
- Expense Monitoring: Tracking and managing expenses related to fuel, vehicle maintenance, insurance, and personnel.
- Cost Reduction Strategies: Identifying ways to optimize costs, negotiate contracts with vendors, and streamline operations to improve profitability.
Cash Flow Management
- Cash Flow Monitoring: Overseeing the company’s cash flow, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring sufficient liquidity.
- Working Capital Management: Managing the company’s short-term assets and liabilities to ensure smooth operations.
Financial Reporting and Compliance
- Financial Statements: Preparing and presenting financial reports including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Compliance: Ensuring compliance with financial regulations, tax laws, and industry-specific regulations.
Investment Analysis and Decision-making
- Capital Allocation: Evaluating investment opportunities for new vehicles, infrastructure, or technology.
- Risk Assessment: Analyzing risks associated with investments and making informed decisions.
Strategic Financial Planning
- Long-Term Financial Strategy: Developing strategies aligned with the company’s long-term goals and objectives.
- Financial Advice: Providing financial insights to support key business decisions and strategies.
Relationship Management
- Stakeholder Communication: Interacting with stakeholders, shareholders, banks, and financial institutions.
- Collaboration: Working closely with other departments to align financial strategies with operational goals.
Education & Experience
- Bachelors degree in accounting/finance or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a finance manager position
- Excellent accounting, financial management and budgeting skills.
- Advanced MS Excel skills, good familiarity with SharePoint & PowerPoint, at least one accounting program
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize effectively
- Successful track record as a manager: able to motivate, guide and develop team members
- Must be a Member of ZICA
Salary Range : K10,000 – K15,000 Net Pay
