The establishment of the ITA-Agency Observatory in Zambia will allow further consolidation of the collaboration between ITA-Agency Office in Johannesburg (competent for Zambia) and the Embassy of Italy operating in Zambia through a strengthening of analytical and promotional skills, thanks to the synergy with their economic and commercial offices.
The HEAD OF THE ITA-AGENCY OBSERVATORY will be responsible for overseeing and managing the organization’s talent acquisition and recruitment efforts on an international scale.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The task of the ITA-Agency Observatory in Zambia will be to deepen the trend of the macroeconomic scenario and the study of economic-commercial opportunities offered in Zambia, start and maintain relationships with the major local players public and private sectors and carry out a mapping of the areas and sectors of greatest interest.
- The Head of the ITA-Agency Observatory in Zambia will operate under the directives of the ITA-Agency Office in Johannesburg in planning and in the implementation of any promotional initiatives in Italy and in Zambia in favour of Italian companies interested in operating in the Country.
KEY JOB ATTRIBUTES:
During the period of service, the Head of the ITA-Agency Observatory in Zambia will be called to:
- Study the local market;
- Provide reports and indications on the sectors with the greatest development forecasts;
- Propose promotional actions aimed at increasing and strengthening commercial relations between Italy and Zambia;
- Drawing up lists of local companies interested in working with Italian companies;
- Organizing B2B meetings (online and in presence) between entrepreneurs from both Countries;
- Organizing appropriate Country Events aimed at illustrating the most dynamic sectors of the Zambian economy and the presence of business opportunities for the Italian companies, also in terms of industrial collaboration;
- Any other activity useful for promoting trade relations between Italy and Zambia;
- at the end of each month the Head of the ITA-Agency Observatory in Zambia must send a summary document of the activities carried out in the month (Monthly Report);
- Send a document of the activities carried out, the methods of carrying out the initiative carried out and the results obtained to ITA-Agency Office in Johannesburg (Activity Report).
Experience & Selection Criteria:
- Economic/financial training.
- Strong Academic credentials relevant to the role is a must.
- Experience in commercial relations between Zambian companies and foreign companies.
- 7 plus years of related work experience.
