KSM MANAGEMENT CONSULTANT, the largest HR firm in Zambia recently acquired GOZAMBIAJOBS.CO.ZM, becoming the largest recruitment platform in the country is now actively looking to recruit Multiple Positions on behalf of our client in the Construction Industry.
- DATA ENTRY CLERK
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collect all casual worker information on site (NRC, Residential address and phone number).
- Ensure that all temporal employees are registered with NAPSA, NHIMA and have a T-PIN before they start work.
- For those not registered, assist them to register online.
- Assist those with problems (NRC No or T-PIN) to fix them.
- Assist HR to create a new filing system for each employee.
- Assist to file employee information such as contracts, registration form, NRCs, and Pay slips, sick notes, leave forms, in individual files.
- Create a folder for Temporal employees where all oral contracts will be kept.
- Collect login and log out sheets and store them safely.
- Assist HR to cope with external inspections such as ensure that all information is up to date before inspection and provide correct information as requested by inspectors visiting the site from NAPSA, Workers Compensation and any other regulatory body.
- Launch Internal inspections (Check that information for employees corresponds with what’s on site). Weekly check
- Visit government offices regularly and develop a good relationship with them.
- Weekly report of registration Progress (NAPSA, ZRA, NHIMA) of temporal employees to the Chinese Manager.
- Monthly report of total number of casual workers engaged on site to Chinese Manager.
- Report problems and challenges faced on site to Chinese Manager
- Compare the list of employees provided by project manager to the number of employees that are actually on site.
- Check that all employee’s information on site is correct and accurate.
- Updating Contract list.
- Any other duties.
Qualification:
Diploma/ Bachelors Degree in Social Sciences.
Development Studies, Human Resource, Demography/ Statistics, Business/Public Administration
Atleast 1 year experience in Data collection and Employee Management.
Clear understanding of Zambian Labour laws/ Government Gazatte
NAPSA, NHIMA and T-PIN registration online platform
- TRAINEE TEST TECHNICAN
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Any other duties.
- Regularly maintain and upkeep the assigned testing instruments and equipment, and keep a record of maintenance activities.
- Conduct regular inspections of the usage status of instruments and equipment, confirm their condition, and label them accordingly.
- Confirm the identity of the numbered samples and perform testing according to the sample sequence number.
- After the completion of tests, assist the supervisor in handling the samples in accordance with the project testing management procedures, either through construction waste disposal or sample retention. Record and archive any retained samples, especially for those found to be non-compliant, and report to the supervising test engineer.
- Implement storage procedures for chemical samples.
- Take responsibility for adjusting and recording room temperature and humidity, ensuring that the laboratory is always clean and orderly.
- Wear masks and fasten protective nets during testing operations as necessary, and strictly adhere to safety measures. Avoid any unauthorized operations.
- Regularly check the expiration dates of fire extinguishers.
- Master routine testing of raw materials, finished products, and semi-finished products.
- Before and after testing, confirm the condition of instruments and equipment, and ensure real-time updates of instrument usage records.
- Thoroughly and accurately complete inspection records, ensuring accurate data and legible handwriting.
- Timely update instrument usage records and maintenance logs.
Qualification:
Degree in civil engineering, road and bridge engineering, construction engineering, or a related field
Possession of a junior certificate or higher as a technician or inspector in the same field.
At least one year of experience in a related professional field
Proficient in routine laboratory testing and on-site inspection work.
Proficient in compiling project test and inspection-related documentation.
Basic proficiency in using office software such as Word and Excel.
- SITE ENGINEER ASSISTANT
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Verify the elevation at the construction site to ensure accuracy.
- Conduct on-site supervision to ensure the correctness of construction processes, including earthwork, paving works, culverts, and side ditch auxiliary facilities.
- Perform daily safety and civilized construction inspections to ensure site safety.
- Assist manager on-site engineers in carrying out other related tasks.
- Any other duties assigned.
Qualification:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Civil Engineering related field.
At least 3 years of road construction experience, including experience in asphalt pavement construction.
Strong knowledge of construction standards and specifications.
Strong knowledge of construction material and quality control.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
