Job Description

OPERATIONS MANAGER will be responsible for the efficient running of an organization’s day-to-day activities. This role involves ensuring that operations align with strategic goals and contribute to the overall success of the business

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing operational strategies to achieve organizational goals.
  • Developing and implementing effective debt collection strategies to optimize recovery rates.
  • Ensure that agreed monthly targets are met.
  • Develop strategies to generate revenue to the organization.
  • Overseeing and managing a team of debt collectors, ensuring they are trained, motivated, and compliant with company policies and regulations.
  • Managing and developing operational teams.
  • Setting and tracking performance metrics for the collections team, analyzing results, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Ensuring strict adherence to all federal, state, and local debt collection laws and regulations.
  • Monitoring call quality and collection practices to maintain compliance and customer satisfaction.
  • Identifying and mitigating risks associated with debt collection, such as legal and reputational risks.
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction through efficient operations.
  • Ensuring that customer interactions are handled professionally and ethically, minimizing negative publicity.
  • Preparing regular reports on collections performance, key metrics, and trends.
  • Assigning accounts to collectors based on their skills and experience.
  • Analyzing debt aging reports to identify trends and develop strategies for older debts.
  • Conducting regular training sessions on debt collection techniques, legal updates, and customer service.
  • Collaborating with legal counsel on complex collection cases.
  • Establishing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Overseeing the procurement and distribution of goods.
  • Adhering to industry regulations and standards.
  • Any other duties assigned.

      

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree Business Administration/ Management/ Finance or related.
  • Minimum of five (5) years relevant work experience
  • Financial services background will be an added advantage.
  • Able to align with company strategic plans.
  • Reports presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of computers in MS Office.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • An analytical mind with problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team with leadership skills.
