Zambia Bureau of Standards (ZABS)
ZABS is a statutory body operating under the Standards Act No. 4 of 2017. The Bureau previously operated under the Standmds Act CAP. 416 of 1994 which came to an end on 31 December 2017. ZABS exists to support industry in the pmduction of goods and services of acceptable quality through provision of Standards development, Training and Conformity Assessment semices. It is the custodian ofnational standards and acts as a link between the local industry and regional and international standardization and quality assurance (SQA) organizations.
The Bureau wishes to invite suitably qualified and experienced Zambian nationals to fill the following vacant position;
A. JOB PURPOSE
Timely preparation and submission of Financial and Managcmcnt reports in order to facilitate decision making by management and ensuring that all expenditures of the Bureau are in line with the approved budget in order to facilitate cost control and enhance utilization of funds. And to ensuie that the organization’s accounting system is effectively operational at all times.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
Full Grade 12 Certificate
Final level ofZlCA, ACCA or ClMA qualification
Member of ZICA
Able to communicate effectively in English at a seniorlevel
Candidate must have Mamgement Skills, Leadership skills and Interpersonal Skills
Knowledge of Pastel Accounting Package is a must
Five (5) years’ work experience in Finance department in a reputable Organization
The positions are in Permanent and Pensiomble conditions of service category.
